The Western District Lodges Association was formed
in 1956, and the first joint meeting of the then six
lodges in the area, when the six reigning Masters made
history by conferring the M.M. degree.
Lodge Thistle & Rose (No73), Partick St Marys
Lodge (No 117), Lodge St John Whiteinch (No 683), Lodge
Kelvin Partick (No 1207), Lodge Western (No 1346) and
Lodge Knightswood ( No 1445) carried out the degree
in the large Burgh Hall under the superintendence of
the R.W.M of Lodge Kelvin Partick Bro. G. Marshall.
